Financial Advising News

This Blog Post is from Associated Content and brought to you by financial advisor

One interesting development that I have seen in response to the ongoing changes in the economy is that of amateur videos being uploaded to YouTube that offering financial advice in one way or the other. Most of these are from channels that already talk about the economy and how it relates to the little man but a lot aren't. Individuals that have had some financial success in the real estate market, or in gold, silver, or other commodities, are taking to YouTube to tell individuals of what they have found.

This should not surprise anyone; large amounts of money are still being lost by individuals who have invested heavily in financial products so people are looking for some other way to make money. Personally, I would suggest freelance writing as there is still a lot of money to be made by enterprising individuals willing to do the dirty work of both finding what assignments are out there, or those with enough initiative to put out their own work without waiting for someone to give it to them. Most people may think that you need to be published somewhere to do this but that is not the case at all, websites like Associated Content, Helium, Triond and others such as those suggested by Kat Sanchez in his article Real Reviews of the Most Popular Pay-To-Write Websites here on AC can show you how to get into the business.

I will be honest with you, at times freelance writing is like, working for minimum wage, but you can get advertising revenue when you aren't writing on top of the amount whichever website you write for pays you upfront, and if you have your own blog with a Google Adsense account, you are in essence getting the full amount of that revenue, rather than sharing it with the site. At the same time, you have to build your brand, which is often more work than the articles themselves may be. I started out with WriteForCash many years ago and have moved on from there.

In this day and age individuals need to look at finding real ways to generate income, because for most the market is going to pay pennies. The huge returns are there, but are not where one would typically look for them. Most pundits will tell you that in the age of the Internet you get pennies, instead of dollars, but that is just as much because the bread is broken with individuals that would have received absolutely nothing 10 years ago as much as it is because the veil has been pulled back and people just are not willing to pay for the little bit that was profitable before the Internet was popular. Listen, the only thing I pay for in this day and age is to get onto the Internet and room and board, transportation, and utilities to keep me out of the cold and to give me electricity and that is it. I have allowed all of my magazine subscriptions and newspaper subscriptions to expire. I don't even pay for my television anymore.

Ten years ago publishers were charging a nice sum for the convenience of picking up a magazine at a store without getting a subscription. We paid for absolutely everything; now do not get me wrong we have paid the real cost for all of this free stuff, because a lot of people are out of a job, underemployed, or have turned to other means for income. But the reality of it is that you have to decide for yourself how you are going to respond to this, rather than sitting down, and if you aren't making enough money you need to find creative ways of surviving. Lets face it, the sooner you get started the sooner you can generate an income from something other than your primary 9 to 5.

Everyone else seems to be failing us; the government, Wall Street, the financial gurus, the investment services. Individuals may trust information that comes from an alternate source, in particularly if they do not have to pay for it upfront and there does not seem to be any conflict of interests, than they do through traditional means. Will you become rich, probably not right away but the age old tradition of dispensing advice and talking about money, to make money, has trickled down for the rest of us. What this means for the future is unclear, but is sure to be interesting …
